David's Story
David brings a unique combination of military service, emergency medical experience, youth development, public safety, and human development education to his role as a Life Skills Coach with Vibrant Living Skills.
David is a United States Marine Corps veteran who served as an Airborne and Air Delivery Specialist and Parachute Rigger. David earned his Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and is also a Certified Emergency Medical Technician. His professional background includes providing direct patient care during medical transportation, monitoring patient safety and comfort, and communicating with healthcare professionals. He is also currently pursuing Fire I and Fire II training through a Fire Academy.
In addition to his military and public safety experience, David has worked as a Youth Development Professional with the Boys & Girls Club, where he mentored youth, led structured activities, supported academic and personal development, and helped create a safe and encouraging environment.
David’s varied background allows him to connect with individuals from many walks of life while bringing structure, accountability, patience, and a calm approach to everyday challenges. His experience as a Marine Corps veteran also gives David an understanding of military culture and the importance of rebuilding purpose, connection, and meaningful routines after service.
