Derrick's Story

Derrick brings more than 26 years of experience in the human services and social services fields, with an extensive background in mentoring, life coaching, behavioral health, and family support.

He has 20 years of in-home clinical experience providing evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Throughout his career, Derrick has worked closely with individuals and families to build practical skills, overcome challenges, strengthen relationships, and achieve meaningful personal goals. His experience as a youth mentor and Life Skills Coach has strengthened his ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and meet them where they are while encouraging independence, confidence, and personal growth.

Derrick is also passionate about mentorship and community involvement. He has spent 18 years coaching and training youth football and enjoys refurbishing bicycles for young people in his community. As the proud father of three daughters, Derrick values family, connection, and helping others recognize and build upon their strengths.

Fun Fact: Years after college, Derrick can still do a backflip!
